How can you program an ADT security system without using ADT when the system is already in the house?

ADT services are expensive but when we purchased our house the system was already installed. We didn’t buy an ADT monitoring system and then the battery died so we bought a new one but now the system has to be reprogrammed. Would we use an electrician or a computer technician if we went to avoid using ADT?

Sure, you have a couple of options. You can reprogram it yourself. Here is a link to the programming manual:

You can also have an outside company other than ADT monitor your alarm and they can set you up as well. Some monitoring companies only charge $10 / month vs. ADT’s $30 per month.

I have ADT but you have options if you don’t want to spend as much. Plus, remember this, the burglars don’t know if you pay ADT or not. Your alarm will still go off and they won’t know the difference.
This is COMPUTER security…
