How much does it cost to install a garage door and opener?

I am buying a house that has a "drive-in" garage in the basement. The garage door is in place, but they removed the track and caulked the edges of the door to permanently attach the door to the wall. I will need a new door with new tracks I am assuming. Also, the ceiling is low, so I would need to get the garage door opener to have the low ceiling option. I am in the St Louis MO area.

My husband runs a garage door business, hopefully the door could be saved. It might be wise to post an ad up on craigslist for someone with experince who might want to moonlight. They would tell you if the door could be saved and remove it safely. The low headroom can cause some issues (my husband is the only one at his work that will do these because they can be more tricky). The track is different and has to be installed different with lowheadroom.
If you just need tracks, and an opener and someone to moonlight to help install the cost should be $350ish (my husband company is in the midwest so I doubt the rates are much different).
If you need a new door should run about $400(assuming it is a standard 2 car garge door, white 4-5 panel door), opener $200 labor $100-125 (again with a moonlighter).
If you do it yourself please be careful with the springs!
you should be able to remove the caulk and save the door and track.just install a new opener for a couple hundred dollars
