Will a burglar alarm still go off if I do not have an active subscription?

There is a burglar alarm from Brinks in the home that I am planning on purchasing. I was wondering if these types of systems will generally work without a subscription. I am hoping I will be able to set it and have it go off if someone tries to break in, but I’m not expecting it to contact Brinks, obviously. Does it normally work this way?

Yes, it’ll go off. You just wont be contacted by Brinks or the police. But it’ll still make the noise.
Nope it wont. You may be lucky enough to be able to have the door sensor chime work. Basically the chime that lets you know someone opened a door or window. But the alarm will not work and will not call the Brinks company so they can send an alert to the police.
Basically when your alarm goes off, the company will call you to make sure it wasn’t a false alarm, if you don’t answer or if you say you think someone broke in then they will alert the police. Since you don’t have the service, nothing will happen.
Yes, it will still work. We have hundreds of customers who are not monitored and just want their siren to sound if a zone is tripped.
Make sure you get the code from the old owners!
