I would like to purchase some type of surveillance system that I can monitor the activity outside my house–on my tv,. What is a cost effective system that i can purchase from Radio Shack or another dealer.

My Fiance and I have had our car broken into a few times no matter whether its locked away behind gates or not and we have been to the police who have been no help and we are wondering about a security system that can be set up outside that will connect with a laptop via WiFi inside, which will automatically record if a motion sensor is tripped within the car. Is it possible to set something up like this and what would be needed to do so.

Is there a type of film you can apply to your automobile’s windows that will not allow a video or surveillance camera to penetrate?
Nothing illegal. I just don’t like the idea of the ePolice. If they can’t put an officer there to catch me (e.g. speeding, running a red light, etc.), then they don’t need to know who I am. Not paranoid, just big on privacy.

i have a lorex security camera system at my business.. and i followed all the instructions and set up my remote viewing.. but when i log in and go to my strategicvista.net site, it is blank!! could there be a connection problem at the business?? like maybe with the router? or do i have to have my pc connected there as well?

I am shopping an 8 camera security system with night vision and motion recording for a small retail business. I need excellent resolution to capture and record shoplifting and exterior vandalism. I have looked all over the web for system and camera reviews – CNET, Consumer Reports, Google and I can’t find objective reviews just sites selling product. Can anyone here make a suggestion? All systems cannot be equal.
