How do I make my Motorola RAZR not beep when I plug it in to charge?

When I plug my phone in (even when it’s on silent), it switches to Loud and makes a beeping sound. I use my phone as a silent alarm in a room where noise is prohibited, but I need to charge it at night. I know how to turn it on silent after I plug it in, but how do I keep it from making the initial beep?
