How do I stop the alarm from going off when I turn my freezer on?

I’ve got a refrigerator with a freezer under it with slide out drawers. The drawers froze shut today, so I turned the freezer part off. After a few hours, I decided to turn it back on and just tell my landlord, but when I turn the knob, the light for -12 celsius turns on, then turns out and a blinking red light labelled "alarm" starts blinking. What should I do?

if the freezer is working properly, then when it get to a set temperature, the alarm will go off. The light is to warn you that the freezer is not cold enough.
