no, as long as you know there are cameras and the not in a place of privacy such as the restroom, changing room ect.
yes that would be illegal
If it’s not illegal, it should be.
Urgggg, Creeepy!!!
No and they can monitor your emails, faxes and phone calls too.
It is ok for employers to place cameras in the place of employment and watch from anywhere as long as the employees are notified that there are cameras and they are not located in places where privacy is necessary(locker rooms and bathrooms).
I believe so. Most places of business have security cameras. A place of business is not an employees private domain so there is no protection of privacy at issue. Unless it was in a changing room or toilet or something.
Yes it is legal. In the empolyer’s building, an employee has only basic rights to privacy.
as long as the camera’s are not located in a restroom or locker room then yes it’s legal. An employer has the right to security.
If I understand you correctly your employer is at his home and you are at work. Then no it would not be illegal as you are on his property and he has a right to know what your are doing while he is not there. (unless of course it is a bathroom or changing room then that would be an issue).
It’s not illegal and he doesn’t have to tell you he’s doing it, either. At work, you have no ‘expectation of privacy’, except in restrooms/dressing rooms. Everywhere else is fair game, and I bet he has cameras that you don’t know about, too.
86% of retail theft is from employees.
yes
as long as it not a bathroom / changing room
and weather it’s done from remote ( home ) or inside his office does not matter
Nope a monitoring system is not illegal. Many companies these day will have a remote link to view cameras. This is so it can be done from the head office, home, generally wherever there is computer access.
This is providing of course they are not monitoring a washroom, change room locker room or any other place where an employee has an expectation privacy.
