our alarm system’s motion detector keeps going off for no reason. It only goes off when it is on away (at night), which means that it picks up movement. After 3 false alarms while we were away, we replaced the battery, which had never been replaced. it still does not work properly. I’m trying to keep from calling a service person out who will charge .00 just to come. Any advice?

It sounds as though the sensitivity is set too sensitive.
You need to pay the fee and have someone come out to replace that bugger. It sounds defective.
Do you have this problem all the time. We have the same but during and after a heavy rain. We take it in and open it up to dry and then it works until we get another rain,
Before you leave, make sure all doors in the house are closed, all things that could fall down are secured, and that pets arent running around. These things always set off alarms.
I’ve heard of a spider making a web infront of a motion detector and setting it off, happened to an old boss.
