I have a 3 month old mini schnauzer puppy, and I live in a 6-floor apartment building. My building has annual fire alarm/smoke detector testing sessions…Basically inspectors and firefighters come to the building and test to make sure that all apartment units’ alarms work. So starting from noon until 7:30 pm, ALL the alarms in the whole building are gonna be ringing repeatedly. :/ It’s a pretty damn annoying day, but it’s only once a year. Anyways, they purposely choose a weekday, avoiding any holidays, in hopes that they wouldn’t bother too many people, but my puppy and I are home tomorrow. It’ll be the first time my puppy will hear those irritating and ear-piercingly LOUD smoke detectors, and I’m worried about what her reaction will be. Until last year, I’d just stay outside all day to avoid all the headache-y noise, but this year I have a young puppy and taking her on a whole-day walk outside isn’t an option cuz it’s raining 50+ mm of rain tmrw. I mean, I’d have an umbrella and raincoat, but what about my puppy? Yeah, just great. So…what should I do? Do I comfort her if she barks? I’d hardly blame her for barking though, the noise is seriously loud..
And come to think of it, I wonder what all the other dogs owners in my building (there’s quite a lot of them) do on this day?

I know I’m hot, but not quite hot enough to set off a fire alarm. It seems that the steam from the shower gets out of the bathroom and causes the alarms to go off.
What can I do to fix this, aside from moving the alarms?

I get that the young lady was raped and all, but I’m a bit confused when the young man comes into the picture. Lupe calls him sincere, but later goes on to say, "knew that it was right, ‘cus something was wrong, the alarms in her mind didn’t tell her he didn’t belong, there was no (intruder alert)." Is the guy going to rape her too? Is not really sincere as he let on at the beginning? I was confused because it seems like he was supposed to be a nice guy!
I KNOW THE 1ST VERSE IS ABOUT RAPE! Please READ the details to answer my question about the man that came into her life!!
Ok somebody that is not a complete "dee dee dee" help me out here lol! The 1st 2 answers is why I don’t converse with "dee dee dees!"

I am looking for an alarm that will sound if the basement door is left open. The kids toys are in the basement and we have a crawling baby. The alarms that I am finding online are supposedly very very loud. I want to find one that will just alert the kids to make sure they close the door behind them. Please send me any suggestions! Thank you!

Say in a house or a store, anywhere that an intruder would break in.
Which do you think is better? A silent or noisy alarm?
The silent alarm keep the intruder in the building while the police show up while the criminals are unaware, they’re more likely to get caught.
But with noisy alarms, they scare off the criminals, making it a less likely situation for them to steal anything. But they’re less likely to get caught.
What’s your opinion?
