How do you stop your car alarm from going off?

My car alarm keeps going off. I know no one is trying to get in it…..I sat there and watched it go off on its own. But it keeps going off. I’ll push the button on the clicker to shut it off then 20 minutes or so later it goes off again. The other night I did this for about 3 hours then decided just to leave the thing unlocked. I replaced the batteries in the clickers, and it did it again. Can anyone help please???

Hey all,

i bought my xbox the first day they came out and iv loved it. Recently i decided that i would like a wireless remote for it, so i went to gamestop and bought one. to my dismay, it doesnt work. i tried everything stated in the instruction manual (new batteries, ect.) but it still wouldn’t sync with my xbox. So i packed up my xbox and the remote and went back to gamestop. at gamestop they were able to figure out it wasnt the remote that was malfunctioning, but the xbox. they assumed if i was able to sync the remote once, then it should work on my xbox fine. we tried using a newer wireless remote, and that charging device that you plug you wireless remote directly to the xbox but that didnt seem to do anything. So my question is, does anyone know how to Sync my double a powered wireless xbox remote to my xbox that doesn’t want to sync.

P.S. my xbox isn’t really broken, it still plays games and everything it just wont sync.

down. The internal atomic clock and inside temperature are not effected. New batteries and shutting down over night, starting outside sensor first as stated on web does not help.

Is my door sensor bad?

The other day i opened my car door and the alarm went off. It turned itself off without me pressing any buttons. It sounded like it was dieing. I then went to go to unlock the door and the remote wouldn’t work. Then I went to go buy the battery for the remote and installed new batteries and its still not working. The passenger side door only works with the remote if i walk over and am about 5 inches away from it. I started the engine and tried just about everything to "clear the system" but thought that it could be just the driver door sensor.

Any suggestions?
Please help..

my car is a 2002 mercedes c230 sports coupe

Home smoke alarm anomaly?

One of the smoke alarms in my house has been doing its "quick chirp" thing lately, seemingly to tell me that it needs a new 9 volt battery. I have played round-robin with batteries but at best they’ll last a couple (possibly a few) days and then the chirps come back again, usually at night, which is not good for the sleep thing. Anyway, I decided that I needed to do a little more investigative work rather than just keep replacing the battery. I noticed that the battery itself was noticeably warm, whereas the batteries in my other alarm units were not. I disconnected the unit from its connector such that it is not a part of the overall system whatsoever. And I am suspecting that it is this particular unit itself that is bad, and that I simply need to go to Home Depot (or wherever) and get a replacement.

Somehow that just seems too simple. I noticed that the chirps continued even after I had disconnected the unit. They continued until I had removed the unit from the bedroom it was in, then those chirps ceased. While they mysteriously continued I listened, and it appeared that this defective unit was still the culprit, though the chirps only lasted a couple of times and I don’t hear anything now.

So the questions are:

1) Is it really this simple and I just need to buy a new unit

2) Is it possible that the defective unit continued to make chirps (only a couple) for a short time after I had disconnected it?

Thanks!

Why does my CO detector keep alarming?

Since last night, my CO detector has been alarming. It is a plug in model (no batteries) that has been in my home for 2 years without making a peep up until now. Everything is electric, except my heat. Which has not been on since March. I feel fine, my dog seems to be OK. I would call the Fire Dept. but I dont want to make a big scene in my quiet neighborhood. I do smoke, but have so for as long as the detector has been in my home with no prior alarms. Doesn’t there have to be some kind of combustion or partial combustion for CO to be present?
