Hi, I recently bought a Bmw 320i E46 Coupe, i am new to parking sensors so thats why i came on here.
When i put her in reverse it goes ‘beeeeeeeeeeep’ for about 4-5 seconds then cuts out, ive backed it up close to a wall but theres nothing alerting me to stop. (that’s how i found out)
Is one broken?
Do i need to buy a new set and replace them?
Yes, I know that but its better then having a rust bucket eh!
Yes, there are parking sensors o the bumper x4.
If there wasnt why would it beep?
I’m Sure you know alot about Bmw, but Just to make sure My car DOES have parking sensors, most cars don’t i know, but ours does, and you havent exactly answered my question.

When arming the alarm on my truck, the doors lock, the lights flash but no honk or beep when arming the truck. It used to do this before but for some reason it doesn’t beep or honk anymore. I know that at least the car is locked so i shouldn’t worry but for some reason I need to hear it honk or beep. Its the factory installed alarm but not the intelligent key they offer for pathfinders just the basic key less entry alarm system.

I have a 2009 Mazda 3. It has the basic anti-theft, beep thing after you lock the doors, but recently I’ve had some people mess with my car. They snapped off my windshield wiper. The whole thing. Of course my "alarm" would go off if someone tried to hot wire it, but I want something more sensitive. Something that goes off if someone pretty much touches it. Why should I worry about people being dumb when I am still making payments?! Any who, not really looking to spend over 0. Something reasonable. =) Thanks!!

Whenever I open a downstairs window while the alarm is off, it doesn’t beep like it does when doors open. When the alarm is on, if it’s opened from the inside, will it set it off? If it does, what’s another way to get out of the house when the alarm is on?

I believe there are two metal sensors that come in contact to tell the car that the sliding door is shut. These pieces sometimes come out of contact when the door is shut, causing the dome lights to flash on and the ‘door ajar’ alarm to beep. This happens when we are driving down the road and is making us crazy! We are hoping there is an inexpensive way to fix this problem without taking the van to an auto body shop. Any ideas are appreciated!
