Will a burglar alarm still go off if I do not have an active subscription?

There is a burglar alarm from Brinks in the home that I am planning on purchasing. I was wondering if these types of systems will generally work without a subscription. I am hoping I will be able to set it and have it go off if someone tries to break in, but I’m not expecting it to contact Brinks, obviously. Does it normally work this way?

Mr., Did I say you are Brinks Home Security Installer? Who the hell said anything about Brinks anyway? FYI, this is the closest category to put this in since yall are SUPPOSED to help people when their alarm goes off. But I guess yall have to ride around looking for the nearest doughnut shop. Security alarm compatibility?

My Mother, Brother and I have moved into a house that has an alarm system, but is not set up (also we don’t have a key to the main box, but nothing a locksmith can’t fix), we tried calling around to see if we could have the alarm company that originally set it up to set up the service and get it working, but we can’t find the company who set it up

My question is, if I were to call a different company, like Honeywell, Brinks, ADT, Alarm Force, or some other security alarm company, could they take off the old interface keypads and main box, replace it with their own, and have it work with the sensors currently installed, using the current wiring?
If nobody knows, can somebody tell me what section would be the best to post it? I couldn’t find anything related to home security, so the default choice was this one

Xbox 360: How is Brink different then any other shooter?

They Xbox 360 just came out with a game known as Brinks and they say that "It’s unlike any shooter you’ve ever played before". What is so different? It looks like yet another shooter where masks are involved actually.

How do i get a replacement key for my brinks safe box?

I have a safe box from Brinks. It came with 2 keys. I lost one and if I lose this one I am screwed. How do I get a replacement key?
if it was that simple i would have done so. I am unable to get a contact number for Brinks so I need that info from someone out there please.

anyone knows abt EXL security?

we just changed from brinks to exl security. The salesman came to our house and said since we are the "corner house," they really would like to use it for advertising purposes and gave us the equipment for free as well as no activation or installation fee. We needed to replace our back up battery and the brinks equipment was 3 yrs old too so we thought it would be good upgrade since its mostly wireless. But now I m concerned!! bc they didnt even put up any yard signs since i thought that was the whole point of using our home!! we have 2 more days to cancel their service so plz help…OTHERWISE I WILL BE STUCK WID A 3 YR CONTRACT….anyone knows if they increase their rate? right now its 37.99$/month I m trying to look up exl security on the internet but no success…its wid Monitronics…Help anyone? Suggestions? comments?
