Could any one tell me how to make an burglar alarm system model, Please give me the parts list and also steps to do it, Please do not give any suggestions to buy any type of kits.
When I was in High School I had. absence slips, late slips, get out of School all day slips, a fan, and a Pencil Pen store, pads, paper, folders. I was known as the kid genious. You pay me a dollar and I stamp you slip that gets you out of any class anytime.
My locker was photographed as best locker in High School. I even had a deodorant fan that kicked on when you open it up and a burglar alarm system.
I sold Jeresey’s, Hats, Pins and candy. You could already see that I was going to be a business Man going into College is where I made my big bucks.
Don’t you think that a front door with about a dozen bullet holes shot through it from the inside of the door to the outside would be more effective than a decal that says " Brinks Burglar Alarm System Installed on this Premises " Thieves are pretty dumb usually but they ain’t completely stupid, are they ? Also, how about those that can’t read or can’t understand English ?
I want to know if it is possible to interface a camera to an 8086,so that it takes a snap when the beam is cut(I am doing this with the help of sensors).Also please let me know any other improvisations that can be done to a burglar alarm system.Any others ideas are also welcome.Also i want to know if it is possible to merge a burglar alarm system with an access control system for more efficiency.
Sorry,I have to extend this a bit.There are two points to be added
1.We have to do it using a 8086.That’s what the course says.
2.Can you guys please let me know more about how to go about doing the interfacing part?

I would like to design a homemade burglar alarm system. Whenever somebody touches the grill installed on the outside of my window or event the air conditioner cover, it should trigger an alarm. I would like to activate this during night times and when we are out, so that we can stop burglar from getting in.
My failed attempt included a small battery, copper wires, and a bulb (later replaced by car horns). I connected one end of the battery to the bulb and other end was grounded. The other end of the bulb was wired to the grill. But, it doesn’t like my idea and the bulb never glows when I hold the grill myself.
To be frank, I am not an Electronics geek.
Could you please address this issue and help me in designing a simple burglar alarm system.
I had an ADT sueveyor come to my house. He was very friendly and chatty.
He showed me the kit.
Also, do they have some sort of backup battery systems for power failures.?
It involves a portale keypad which can be taken upstairs and has a panic button facility.
The kit also includes a 110 Decibel siren.
I am also going to get quotes from alarmfastm assure alarms, and jge.
If anyone has ever used any of these please help.

Is 110 decibels really enough to deter the intruders from continuing with the robbery?

This is a theoretical/hypothetical question (NO, I have NOT committed any crimes!)
I was just curious what happens if police raid a house either with a search warrant/arrest warrant (whether its knock or No-knock warrant) or without a warrant based on exigent circumstances) and the owners/residents are not at home, but they have turned on their burglar alarm system??
I mean when the police enter, by breaking down the door or whatever, and the screeching alarm is going off, what do they do?
Do they just keep searching with the alarm still going off? Do they call the alarm company to turn it off themselves? Do they just disable the alarm themselves in some way (like the same way that they get into locked cars they need to search, with a "Slim Jim" tool to open the door)
I mean obviously the police won’t call themselves, but if no one is at home when they break in, and they don’t know the code to shut off the alarm, then what do they do?
How do they shut it off?
Bear with me, and sorry for the length. I just need some kind of info on my rights here. A couple of months ago, I had a burglar alarm system installed. About a month ago while I was home and the alarm was not armed, I get a call from the company saying there was an alarm coming from my address, but as I explained to her, I was home, the alarm wasn’t armed and there was no reason for an alarm to be coming from my address. I didn’t get much of any satisfactory explanation as all she said was they were probably installing another alarm in my area, so were getting an errant code from another address (which makes no sense to me). Anyway, yesterday I was out of town for the holiday and as we pulled into my street, I see two police cars in front of my home. We get into the drive and there are cops at the door, and one at the bedroom window. When we got out of the car, they asked if one of us was Eric…no Eric lives here. They said the alarm company had a panic alarm from my address from this Eric person, and in fact had spoken to this person over the keypad intercom, and apparently this person needed help. We unlocked the door, the officers went in and checked through the house, and of course there was nothing out of order. Unfortunately, before we had gotten home, the officer at the side window had gotten to the point of cutting my screen, so now I’m left with damage that actually leaves my home more vulnerable to a break in as the window happens to be on the side of the house without lighting. I also have to wonder about this Eric person…did he not get help while the police were wasting man hours breaking into my home where there wasn’t a problem? All I’m getting from calling customer service is long hold times and haven’t been able to get any help at all. I spent the next couple of hours fielding calls from curious neighbors (as the police had gone to the neighbors asking if they knew us or our schedules, etc), and waiting on hold with the alarm company. needless to say, this wasn’t a good capper to my holiday, and now I’m left with actual damage that I’m probably going to have to pay for, and I have to be paranoid this will happen again. Any suggestions? Is there an agency this should be reported to? I can’t have the police breaking into my home every time someone else pushes the panic.I just don’t feel I should be responsible for this damage, and this security system isn’t making me feel very secure! Frankly, I just want out of this contract.
