Carbon monoxide awareness week starts soon in the UK. My daughter recently died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Have you got an alarm to protect yourself from this silent killer.
It’s a wired in smoke alarm, there are 5 o them and each of them are going off for no reason. There is no fire and it can’t be carbon monoxide we have lots of windows open. It started at about 4 and goes off randomly for about 15 to 30 minutes. It’s happened About 4 times tonite. This is our first time home in over a month and it was 120 degrees farhenheit when we got home. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. Please help we can’t sleep!
I am buying a new home, and was wondering about the pro’s and con’s of having a carbon monoxide dectector hard wired into my homes (this is very costly)

Okay , I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I live in a basement apartment . I want to move out , I’ve been looking for a apartment but have had no luck so it looks like I’m probably going to stay here for a while ? :/ but I have small windows , there’s a boiler room down here also . I have fire alarms and a carbon monoxide alarm also . Sometimes there are spiders and centipedes in my apartment too . Sometimes it feels a bit damp down here . My boyfriend smokes in the house but I’m going to ask him to smoke outside from now on so that way the house won’t be so stuffed up with smoke . Is it safe for my daughter to be down here once I have her ?? In the meantime while I’m looking around for a new apartment ?? And if so what could I do to make the environment safer for her ?? Such as humidifiers, windows open 24/7 .. anythingg ?? Please help, I don’t want to harm my baby girl in anyway . I want her living environment to be perfect when she comes home :/ I’m running out of time . Thank you !
I think they should. The robbers love looking for easy targets. If there is no surveillance camera they know they could easily get away with it. The cameras would not only prove who the robber did it, where he went, what he looks like but if the robbery ever actually happened in the first place. This could save lives!
What do you think of this? Is it good? They also require them to have carbon monoxide alarms and fire alarms and phones. So why not surveillance cameras?
i live in a small apartment and have a gas stove..whenever i use the oven after about 5 minutes of it being turned on the carbon monoxide alarm goes off and stays on until i open my doors and windows. What do you think is causing this? Is this harmful to me and my baby?, he is 4 months old.
In October of 2008 My Kitten (he was a 1 year and a month) was killed. I was dog sitting my bosses dogs and the night before the carbon monoxide alarm went off the the fire department came by and what not. So the next day, when I was going to class I kept the dogs outside (i have a dog) and my kitty, Diego, went outside too. He roamed around (he could get out of the yard and such). My boyfriend, who I lived with, was on his way back. We even passed each other on the road. By the time i reached my school, the entire 2 miles, i got the phone call. My baby boy was dead. I have never been able to forgive myself. After awhile we decided to get another cat. We ended up with two kittens. About 6 months later my boyfriend got me a dog for my birthday, so now, two dogs and two cats. This was May. On Labor day, September 7. My kittens were a year and a month. My boyfriend moved to NY and I had all the animals. I went to a barbecue for labor day and I left the animals inside since it was so hot. When I came home, my one Kitty, Fagin was dead. My new dog killed him (you could tell just by how it was). I am just…i just don’t know what to do. I sent my other kitty Otto to NY with my boyfriend. I know it was an accident. I’ve seen with my last kitty what it looks like when something is intentionally killed. This was different. I just don’t know what to do. i am completely besides myself. I can’t have children (well i can but a lot of miscarriages). So my animals are my children. I just don’t understand. Why, why again? Am I just a horrible pet owner? Everyone always says my animals are unique and they have never experienced animals like mine. And people say no one loves and cares for animals the way I do. So why do they have to die? Why do I such a bad environment for them? I am just completely beside myself and I have lost two babies in 10 months and now my third is on the other side of the country…I just don’t know. Am I the only one this happens too? Is everyone including myself fooling me? Should I give up on mixing cats and dogs?

Two days ago we were awaking to our carbon monoxide alarm going off… left the apartment and call 911 like directed. The fire dept walking to the apart complex was getting a rating as they were walking in the open hallway. The fire department there 3 levels of carbon monoxide(dangerous, moderate, low)… my apartment was close to dangerous but was high moderate. My apartment is on the 3 floor and the second floor had a mid dangerous level and the first had high dangerous level of co2.
After the fire dept narrow’d the issue down to our laundry room our apt complex gas was turned off for now 2 days i like to add… and my apartment’s AC is not working and KC is having temps all the way up in the high 90 degree temps… but thats another story…
I called a little ago to my apartment manager to find out about our hot water and gas and AC issue and stated that we had a gas leak and that carbon monoxide was false
My question is that can my carbon monoxide go off for a gas leak?
