hi one of my cars (2000 corolla) has a problem with the rear driver side door. SOMETIMES the sensor doesn’t light when the door is opened. I noticed that by applying downward pressure to the left rear side fixes this issue temporarly. anyone knows what’s wrong and how I can fix this. this is important because my alarm will not go off if the rear driver side door is opened. thanks.

I was going to run some LED lights in my car and I was going to have a wire running from the cars battery to a switch. From the switch I was going to have 2 wires going to either side of the dash to the lights. I don’t know whether or not the 12v will run down both wires or if it will be half for each wire.

There’s been a rise in thefts from cars in our neighborhood and we’d like to install a single-camera system (either in the tree outside our house or under the eaves or our house) where an outdoor motion sensor camera is only triggered by movement, the pictures of the people would be recognizable (even at night), and where we could see the pictures on a PC. Do you have any suggestions, recommendations, things to note, things to avoid. Thank you.

I want to install a garage door opener, but in the garage the main beam is in the way. It is a high ranch with a 2 car garage and the beam crosses through the middle of the garage parallel to the garage doors (supported by a pole in the middle of the garage between the cars. To install a ceiling mount garage door opener, I would have to cut a large hole or notch in the beam for the rail to pass through.
Is that OK? What are the alternatives?

While it appears that during heavy traffic most traffic lights run accordingly to programmed intervals, At night, I’ve noticed signals tend to be triggered by my car’s approach. Some lights will not turn, however. I’ve sat in a left turn lane at a particular intersection and watched the lights cycle through 3 or 4 cycle repetitions without ever giving me a left turn signal and with no other cars at the intersection. If I back up slightly and pull forward, the left turn light will then change. How do these traffic light sensors register my car’s approach?

Okay what I need to be able to do is record my neighbor when she is having her out bursts shouting and yelling at me and throwing stuff at my cars aparently the way I look sets her off. That is a whole different story though I need the audio and the video to work preferably through my computer or some reasonably priced system we don’t have a vcr and I want it to record over longer periods of time and to be able to make replay these things to the police when she lies about what she did. The police have gotten somewhat wise to her since they actually asked her what she meant by things the last time and she told the police that the dog was loose if he was on a leash! and that the curb was the street and that was where she was going to put the garbage she also told them that if she couldn’t make me move my car from the public road that she would park on the street blocking the drive way so we couldn’t get out once i have documentation of her threatining me I will file a restraining order

I really need a alarm and or automatic(remote) locking system for my Camaro. But I don’t know if that is the same thing, or are those separate entities. If separate which one should I buy first? Got price ranges? Thanks guys.
To add details this is my first car, and I don’t anything about cars so….give me a break if this is deemed, "obvious" to you

I have a problem with a sensor in my car and I think I have it narrowed down but need a schematic for my cars sensors and switches. Is there a website (besides "fixya") where you can find these?
