I have a Nissan and when i went to church left my car at the parking lot someone broke in by braking the window. I thought that all the cars that you buy have an alarm system, but, how come the alarm never went off? I my have the car remote and it has that button to make the siren go off. So i thought that mean that the car has an alarm, so i didn’t worry till know. So was it some professional that disabled the alarm or what happened? So i want to know what to look in my car and how to know that i have a good alarm system(Like if it has a blinking light or a sticker) or what to ask the mechanic what to put in or to do or how to make sure it don’t happen again?

Hi, I recently bought a Bmw 320i E46 Coupe, i am new to parking sensors so thats why i came on here.

When i put her in reverse it goes ‘beeeeeeeeeeep’ for about 4-5 seconds then cuts out, ive backed it up close to a wall but theres nothing alerting me to stop. (that’s how i found out)

Is one broken?
Do i need to buy a new set and replace them?

I’m Sure you know alot about Bmw, but Just to make sure My car DOES have parking sensors, most cars don’t i know, but ours does, and you havent exactly answered my question.

I Lived in Antioch, Ca. And this week two of my neighbors lost their cars, so I prefer buy an alarm than a car.

I have tried autoshops & googled extensively, but can’t find anywhere the little springs that attach to bumper bars to alert driver to when they have made contact with something. I have seen several in the past on cars.

I am looking b/c I just bought a new car (VZ commodore) and am paranoid about the front fender (? if thats what its called??) & am trying to find ANYTHING that I can attach that will warn me when I am too close to something.

So if anyone can make any suggestions on ANYTHING that’s avail for FRONT bumpers, I’d be greatful. Please DONT suggest sensors UNLESS you know for sure it’s avail for FRONT bumper. Cos I have only been able to source them for the rear, not the front.

I thought even a little light that glows from inside when bumper is say 10cm away from curb shouldnt be too hard for a smart techy to invent…or what else is out there? Cos I cant find anything!

Which cars have:
crash avoidance
lane departure warning
backup camera and
tire pressure alert?

I know that like you can get an option on the Prius for lane keep assist, I know some cars offer backup camera sensors, etc, but it’s not clear if these cars have the other features too, or what have all four?
Also blind spot notification.

If some vehicles have only some of these please list too

In late model, hi-end cars, there is a component colloquailly referred to as a "Safe Distance Following Sensor". (Mercedes Benz S550 calls it Distronic, Nissan calls it Adaptive Cruise control). I’ll admit up front that my 2002 Mitsubishi Pajero is neither "late model, nor "hi-end". Is there an aftermarket device that will alert the driver when within say, 2-5 seconds of the preceding vehicle? I don’t need the brakes to be managed by the system, just an alert (visual / aural) to let me know when I’m within preset parameters

It’s a Honda Civic LX 1997 and on red lights, the speed of the motor fluctuates like it would almost stop. The garage told me code 505 was related to idler control module with sensors and the auto part wants to sell me a throttle body. I don’t know much about cars and I am confused ,please help.

I have a 98 Ford Mustang and recently failed inspection b/c of my oxygen sensors. Would it be cheaper to buy the sensors and have somebody who is good with cars put them in? Is that possible? Or should I just save for a mechanic to do it? Thanks! I know NOTHING about cars
