Ok.. so… my grandmother just move in with us… so I assigned her a new code. I went by the book and everything. I go to show her how to work it, and I set the alarm to STAY mode. I allow it to arm, then open a door to show her how to disarm the system. I open the door….. NOTHING. The system just sits there in STAY mode. I don’t get a "beep… beep… beep…" that I usually get, yet when I disarm the system… I can open the door and still get a chime. Any thoughts? The keypad is a Honeywell/Ademco Vista Series VISTA-20P
It has worked perfectly, with only one false alarm in one year, up until today. Any thoughts?

I’m doing a BSc Honours degree in the UK. During a 3hr exam for my module, the fire alarm went off halfway and we had to evacuate. We were waiting outside, everyone talking freely. It was a false alarm, so we went back in, only to be told that the Examination Board said the exam was postponed for too long, and we had to go home.
What do you think will happen? It’s unfair to mark the exam based on our current answers, because some people did their ‘worst’ question first, or did their plan for all the questions the first 20 minutes, so didn’t have relatively as much written as those who did their plan as they went along. And rescheduling the exam will be difficult, as people will be leaving for holidays or placements within a couple of months time. We also did 40% group coursework a while back, think they’ll grade the entire module based on that?

Our technology represents a revolutionary approach to swimming pool surveillance and safety. Its unique state-of-art technology is designed to alert parents and caregivers of potential drowning by creating an invisible ever present underwater passive "acoustic net" below the surface of the water. When a child falls into the pool, the acoustic net is "broken" immediately send distinct signal to alert parents or guardians.
How?
The four passive sensors are linked to a command station located near the pool, sophisticated algorithm run on DSP platform build the internal acoustic net and make adaptation to the underwater surface in every 1msec, so the cleaning robot or the filtration system are marked inside the net. The system accommodates to the existence of those factors and expects only to the fall or slips of a child in order to break the net, therefore accomplishes void from false alarm and send alarm when immersion is done.

My lower back is pretty sore and it feels like there’s a shooting pain going down it (like it’s on fire). My lower abdomen feels like I have really bad period cramps and it isn’t letting up (even when I stand up or sit down, walk, ect it still hurts.) Also, the top of my belly is rock hard and I have this warm sensation that I’m feeling in that specific area. The period like cramps last for about 40 – 60 seconds and have been happening for the past two hrs at regular intervals. My tailbone and inner thighs also hurt when I walk (I can barely make it up the stairs top the bathroom.) Please help! I don’t want to go to the hospital for another false alarm just to have them send me home again. Do you think that this could really be it? I’m 40 wks pregnant and need to know now so I can call the ambulance or not.

My home is ok and the officer left a note. I checked with ADTand they say their not sure but they do not charge for errors. I have already called the pd but I guess the alarm dept is close. I have a feeling that they will but I wAnted to see if they would in gneneral. I know false alarms are common in certain cities and states. Please any info is appreciated. I’m in Cali. Thank u!!

I left the frying pan to heat too long and it triggered my fire alarm. I could not remember where I put my cell phone because I know my alarm company will call to verify. Next thing I know the fire trucks are outside my home and I told the fire men that it was a false alarm. If any of you had the same experience as I did, please share. I am already stressed paying for my bills right now I am not sure if I can handle a fine from the fire department. Thanks for sharing…

If the Fire Department insisted it was a false alarm, would you still be worried there is something wrong?

A police officer responded to my ADT system. It was a false alarm and I could not turn it off right away due to a power outage. She jumped over the front gate of my house(which displays a beware dog sign) . My dog ran straight to her and made a small bite on her hand.
I’m worried that I’ll be sued. The police officer just asked for proof my dog was vaccinated and had rabies shots which he does and then filed a report.
Anybody have a similar experience?
