Hello I wasn’t able to find any info anywhere so hopefully someone can help me out here. My question is my home alarm system went off while I was away, an police came down to check and left a note as mechanical error. No I didn’t answer my phone cause I was out and didn’t notice until I got home. Anywho my question is does the pd myself, the home own for their trip to heck on my house??? My home is ok and the officer left a note. I checked with ADTand they say their not sure but they do not charge for errors. I have already called the pd but I guess the alarm dept is close. I have a feeling that they will but I wAnted to see if they would in gneneral. I know false alarms are common in certain cities and states. Please any info is appreciated. I’m in Cali. Thank u!!
Badge, being that false alarm are common, is it safe that the first time is ignored? Also if you can guesstimate the max charge , how much do u think? It’s my first false alarm thanks u much

I don’t even know the code for the alarm. I want to install new blinds on my windows, but the alarm’s window sensors are in the way. How can I permanently disarm the alarm so that I can remove the window sensors without having problems with false alarms?
I have an alarm system through Apex Alarm (or Honeywell Systems) and lately I have been hearing a lot of bad stuff about them. I have been having major problems with this company and went online to research them and found out all kinds of bad stuff. Has anyone else heard bad things or have been having problems with them? My alarm does not work half the time and I have a lot of false alarms or times when I can’t set my alarm system properly. I called Apex about this and they came out to fix it but I still have problems. i called and complained multiple times. Once when I called them the techincal support guy said "Well…you can still SET the alarm…we just won’t be notified if someone breaks into your home or there is a fire." Ummmm what good is that?!?! They won’t let me cancel even though I can’t use it half the time and when the guy signed up he never told me it was a 3 year contract. I guess I am stuck but I would like to know if anyone else is having problems.
I am after installing a burglar alarm in my house, the house is currently going through restoration so I was going to install a wired system in the house until someone at work mentioned wireless systems. This would obviously save the hassle of cable chasing etc.
I was wondering, are these systems reliable or are they susceptable to false alarms from interference (wireless networks/ key fobs etc)?
What connections are required? I know the sensors are wireless but am I right in thinking you require a 240v supply to the control panel and sounder?
If any of you have had any experience with wireless systems, of if you know any good websites it would be greatly appreciated.
our alarm system’s motion detector keeps going off for no reason. It only goes off when it is on away (at night), which means that it picks up movement. After 3 false alarms while we were away, we replaced the battery, which had never been replaced. it still does not work properly. I’m trying to keep from calling a service person out who will charge .00 just to come. Any advice?
I have a lease with an alarm company for 2 years. There is a high rate of false alarms and the local police sent me a notice saying that I will be fined for each false alarm. The alarm is not hooked up to the police station, but when it rings, good citizens and neighbors call the police and a patrol car comes out. The alarm company told me that they cannot guarantee that there won’t be false alarms and they are not responsible for false alarms. I am in Washington STATE, but anyone is welcome to answer and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

The other day on my way to school, I walked past a house with the burglar alarm blaring out. I didn’t turn my head, false alarms happen all the time besides like a said, I was on my way to school. But what is the actual response to hearing a burglar alarm?
