The furnace and air cleaner say General Electric. But there is also a piece that says Honeywell? There was a disposable 16×20 filter inside next to the heavy metal filter.

My state is in emergency. The fires flames are still not contained. I pause to offer thanks to those who are fighting to contain the fires and pray that no more lives and homes are lost.
I watch the news
With much alarm
Pray that no one
Comes to harm
As wildfires feast
With cruel delight
Upon a state
In helpless flight
While flicking flames
Of fiery tongues
Blows burning wind
From furnace lungs
These Santa Anas
Blow so warm
That Nature melts
Beneath its charm
Again, let no one
come to harm

I have to have a 135-degree heat alarm near my furnace (requirement for foster-parenting.) I would REALLY like a battery-powered unit, but all I see are 120v AC. Can someone recommend a battery powered heat alarm to me? Thanks !!!
By the way – I have read other answers, and I know many people say that a heat alarm is not needed in a home. That could be true, but I need to comply with the agency’s requirements.

Had it for two years and never used the heat. Switched it heat today and the display goes blank and nothing happens. No fan blow, nothing. I switch it back and it resets itself/comesback. I have a gas company coming tomorrow to turn my gas on. Does this happen when there is no heat or gas yet in the furnace? No fan, no starter clicks…nothing. A/c side works fine. Please help. Thanks

Where is the best place to mount a humidifier, on supply or return duct? Or does it not matter?
Thanks for any info.
Is it best to mount a humidifier on the supply or return duct? Does it matter? The furnace is a high efficiency model, 2yrs old & has an Air Bear media filter.
Thanks for any info.

It heats up but will not blow the warm air. But warm air is coming out of it in the bathroom vent (furnace is right below). I tried the master switch. Turning it off and on. Nothing works. Last year the same thing happened. But this year it worked fine for two months then slowly started acting up again. Now it wont turn on at all and im freezing. Help!
I believe the furnace is 10 or more years old. I’m not quite sure. I just rent here.
The filter was cleaned this past sept.

I have a 5 wire system.
Red, White, Yellow, Blue and Green.
Have been unable to trace each wire to identify individual components at my furnace end.
I have heat/air. and it’s gas heat.
I’ve had it installed for about a week and the fan only turns on when the heat turns on even if i switch the controls for the fan to always be on, it will still only come on when it heats.

I just installed a Honeywell RTH7400 programmable thermostat. I did go through and make sure the settings are for my furnace (2 stage heat 1 stage cool). I have the heat set at 62 and the temperature says its currently at 62 but it keeps kicking in anyway. It will stay off for about a minute or so and then kick right back in. I know this can’t be saving me energy. Help!!
