I live in an apartment with my girlfriend. I work at a bar late on the weekends, often leaving her home alone until I am done with my shift early in the morning. We have a deadbolt locked door into our apartment but the door is older and our neighborhood is somewhat questionable. What would be the best security system for keeping her safe while I’m at work. It has to be something that will not sound when I get home from work, waking the neighbors. Hoping to not spend a ton of money or having to wire something. Any advice would help…

Ok I have been thinking my roommate is stealing things from my room and saying my girlfriend is the one behind it. So what im thinking is while i am at work i can get a spy cam to see what is really going on. What i want to do with the cam is hide it in one of my Various model cars i have in my room and can catch what is really going on. So i know nothing about cameras but i do have a iphone and i think to myself the camera in this is perfect. Anyway it has to be small enough to hide in a 1/18 scale model car and has to be able to have battery life for at least 8 hours while i am out of the house and have a sd slot or something to be able to record the entire time. I dont need hd or high Resolution just a cam that is small good battery and memory, any help would be greatly appreciated. (sorry about grammer smart phones are sometimes not so smart).

got into arguement with live in girlfriend who became aggressive.
neighbors called the police that of course arrived with me on top restraining her.
i got arrested and had a stay away order issued
so now im in a motel for a few weeks with no contact with my family other than voice mails she leaves me. niether one of us want this order how can we get rid of it?

Last night someone was either trying to spook my girlfriend or actually trying to break into our home. As a fire fighter, I work many nights and would feel better about her being home alone with our big bad Shi-tzu if we had an alarm system installed.

All that being said, would you suggest going with a national monitoring company for a lower price, or a local company for better/speedy response? Details and prices if you have them would be greatly appreciated.

ok so this is kinda long…. over thhe past several months i have been sneaking out ALOT almost 3-4 times a week.i do it to see my girlfriend, we dont get to see each other much and i love her and like spending time with her…. so my mom has caught me three times now, last time was 1 week ago, and i have to see my gf tonight, we got in a big fight and i dont wanna lose her… but i probably will if i dont see her tonight. i have a 3 story window and a 2 story drop down ladder, im willing to make the jump but my mom sets the alarm now, i was pretty desperate so i found the lil sensor, and snapped it odff, and it fell all three stories down into grass, and i couldnt find it. so now when my mom trys to set the alarm, it wont set most likely, idk what will happen, she will suspect me, and now that i have this thing disabled, im sneaking out one way or another. my question is, what will happen when my mom trys to set the alarm? we have "network multifamily" system, and what do you tihnk i should do? any advice? im stuck here…

Google is cluttered with garbage so its been difficult for me to find exactly what im looking for. i want to buy a hand gun for my house. my girlfriend wont allow me to. she thinks im going to kill someone if i get angry one day. umm im not going to kill someone with a gun. im not that stupid. i told her its better to have one when you need one. she still doesn’t agree. what should i do? just buy one and hide it from her? or just go ahead and buy one or what?

Basically, my girlfriend and her friend are sharing a house together, and even though its a nice area I’d like them both to have a motion sensor door alarms but I cant seem to find any? I just want something she can put next to her door, and if someone opens in the night, it would break the sensor and an alarm would go off? I live in the UK by the way. Thanks in advance!
