I was convicted of a felony two years ago for possession of narcotics. I have been clean for two years now and in that time bought a house that needed major construction and renovations so during the construction phase I had construction insurance. Well now I just need regular homeowners insurance and have been denied due to my criminal history. Does anyone know a company that will cover me? I’m looking at like a 0,000 policy.

BQ: Is it legal to and will you still be covered if you have homeowners insurance
instead of rental insurance on a rental?

BQ2: Are you part of a LLC group and/or corporation?
Why do some Landlords do this? The benefit?
Does LLC replace the need for rental insurance?
Is it better protection against liability for the Landlord?

I’m in the process of purchasing a home. I’m taking out a FHA loan and my broker stated that I would have to purchase first year homeowners insurance for a year. My question is my monthly taxes, PMI, and also home insurance is already infused in my monthly mortgage payment,so why is that I have to pay for a years worth of insurance when I’m making a monthly payment on it anyways? Will I being paying twice? Can someone please explain

I don’t know if i’m posting this in the right section, but i’ll give it a shot. me and my husband own a mobile home and are looking into getting homeowners insurance. are there any good reliable insurance companies that insure mobile homes and it’s contents, preferably cheap? we would like contents included as we have quite a few valuable things in our home.

I am trying to find out where Farmers insurance discloses their rating formula. I am in Texas and have asked the Texas department of insurance but they were no help. I know insurance companies have to disclose their standard rating formulas but they HIDE them. Please help me if you know where to find them.

My husband and I are about to start the short sale process and starting this month we are not and cannot afford to make our mortgage payments anymore. Our Homeowners insurance is paid for through escrow…what happens when we stop paying our mortgage payments? Should we contact our insurance agent and switch to direct billing or does this all get covered in the short sale? We are projecting being in our home at least 6 months before we get an offer (due to winter approaching). I have looked all over online and get mixed answers. Just want to to do. Thanks

We had a bad storm about 2 weeks ago, i believe the power had to of when out at some point in the night because my alarm clock was reset. I bought a MacBook Pro for 1900, and it stays plugged in at night, when i woke up the next morning it would not power on. I took it to a repair shop and they said it would be over 2000 to repair. Can i claim this on my homeowners insurance? Also, The computers not even a month old and the warranty doesn’t cover this.
