making a home surveillance camera with webcam, sd memory and programmable chip and power source?

i was wondering if there are anything similar to what i am looking for?

i want to make a surveillance camera which takes shots and storing them into a sd memory card, and have it programmable to either do motion detection or something similar… along with a way of power source, either outlet or battery source.

i’m just trying to make it simple, without having to run a laptop, or pc that consumes way too much energy. suggestions?

Internet wont stay connected – Using Both Wireless and Wired?

I have a router and operate a game server and a internet radio station from my home – both stay connected just fine, but my laptop drops connection to the game every 2 minutes. I have rebooted the modem – checked the settings and have no trouble surfing the net – but the game wont stay connected.Setup is: Cable Modem –> Belkin Wireless Router –>Game Server(1), Radio Server(2), Laptop(3), VoiP Router(4). Run Avast Anti-Virus but it doesnt matter if its on or not – same problem. Problem is only with the laptop – the other computers have no trouble staying connected to the game server. Also – i do not have a problem using the laptop to connect to the game server from any other location including wireless hotspots across town. Any ideas as to what can cuase this?

I have also tried disabling one or the other connection at any given time – doesnt matter wether its wired or wireless.

How do I set up a wireless router to piggyback off a hard wired router?

I have a hard wired network in my house and recently got a laptop. Going to a totally wireless network is not an option. I have heard you can connect a wireless router to a hard wired router. What do I need to do to accomplish this?

i have a wired internet connection in my house, which worked fine with my desktop, but i just got a laptop and a wireless router and would like the desktop to stay wired and use wireless on the laptop, I have 1 wireless router and 1 modem, is this possible

Best way to spy on your teen?

I have a teen boy, aged 19 living in MY home doing things he is not supposed to. I’m an easy going liberal type of mother, so don’t call me a natzi, please. BUT, I want to spy on him. He has a laptop and I think he is doing drugs in his room at night. I was thinking of a mico-recording device, or perhaps a spy camera. Any tips or ideas as to where to find such items? Thanks!

How can I use wired and wireless on my desktop (wired), laptop (want wireless but not happening). Help?

Bought a lot of Linksys products. Desktop is accessing internet through a gateway. The Laptop (which is want to go wireless) is also wired and using gateway to access internet. Desktop can stay wired but Laptop was purchased to use wireless. Can I go wireless from Laptop to desktop and so I would be able to access desktops connection to internet lan modem. I tried the Linksys hardware and software but laptop will not work wireless.

Wireless internet disconnects constantly – I HAVE to stay wired?

I have a wireless dlink router, on my laptop, i have to keep the ethernet plugged in my laptop and plugged into the router, as soon as I take the ethernet out it will go off. my sister has just bought a notebook and her’s connects flawlessly. Can someone please help me?

Where is my security key or pass phrase on a wireless router?

I am trying to connect to my wireless router from my laptop and it is asking for the security key or pass phrase. I found the pin code on the bottom of the router but it did not work. Can somebody tell where to find that code or pass phrase?
