So i have lived at my current home town for about 75% of my life and were going to move:( Im in my sophomore year and as some of you know or might think, its heartbreaking. My life couldn’t be anymore perfect; my friends are amazing and we love each other so much, my grades are good, teachers are perfect for my way of learning, Im trying out for basketball and i know Im gonna make it, and i already play badminton and have a current partner who Im used to playing with, and so on with dances and such. I brought up the sad news to one of my friends and we came up with the idea that my family could move to the other side of the bridge and i could live with her and her family until senior year grad and go home during breaks, holidays, and maybe weekends. I know some people might think its dumb because I want to stay here just because of my friends but there is also some good reasons: The new city Im moving is dangerous, it has many gangs and violence. I could probably never go out because I am a 15 year old teenage girl, I could very easily be influenced into drugs and stuff. ghetto neighborhood = ghetto school and lower expectations for education, my school would also be the type to have metal detectors. Also my house wouldnt be safe because it would take a while to instal security and such, might get robbed too -_____-. NOW my dumb reasoning: I would have to start all over including friends, teacher relationships, new graduation requirements, and classes might be ahead, behind, etc. and my life at my current school just became way better. P.S the reason were moving is because most of my family lives in the other city, and my mom might not have a chance to buy a house later on, we cant buy a house here because it is too expensive for a single mother.

conclusion: I have a perfect life at my current town/school. The new town id move to would be dangerous and i would have to start all over again. So i could possibly live with my friend until i graduate and i am old enough to move out, move to a college dorm, or have my own car and take care of myself.

question: would this be a good enough reason for court to let me have a temporary guardian? or is there a way i could live with my friend and not be questioned by my school?

PLEASE: no dumb answers saying "just move" or "thats really dumb", please a good answer helping me.

So my kitchen got on fire because I was cooking oatmeal on the stove, but my room is okay. It is upstairs on the other side of the house. So can I just wait for my mom to get home in about 4 hours? Or just spray water around myself for protection. PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE MY MOM GETS HOME! Maybe it will just go away on its own. And don’t worry, there is no fire alarm to wake the neighbors or make that stupid noise.

Sorry this is a little unorganized

My sister and her boyfriend want to get temporary custody of me from my mom who lives in Oregon. My dad passed away last year so its only my mom we have to fight my mom. I’m not sure where I’m a resident of right now because after my dad died i was forced to live with my mom in Nevada i lived there for a year and right now im in California for summer break to visit family(my mom moved to Oregon while i was in California) however i have been staying at my sisters house since June 10, 2011 so she thinks that might make me a legal resident of California? I don’t really get mail here other than one piece of mail i got because i ordered something online. Could that one piece of mail make me a resident? I don’t know how that works. Anyway my mom is coming to California in about two weeks to get me and take me to California. My sister and her bf are hoping to get temporary custody by then then later go for full custody.
I have tried reasoning with my mom, Ive told her why i don’t wanna be with her.
She has never really been in my life very much and the only reason I live with her now is because my died and she is my only other "legal Guardian" otherwise i would still be with him.
I honestly believe my mom wants me to live with her so she can get my social security checks, neither her or her husband have jobs..they live off my checks and they have been for the last year
My mom is never home and that money i get from my dads passing is supposed to go to help with necessities for me, not for them to spend on cigarettes and new gun.
anyway i need to know what i can do to get this started ASAP any forms, info, websites, lawyers you know about in both California and Oreon would be greatly appreciated!
oh BTW what are the living condition standards in Oregon? If i was with my mom i would not have my own room and i would be sleeping on the couch which is a MAJOR upgrade from how we were living in Nevada.

I have a Visa Mona-vie debit card (my mom’s), but I can’t find the security code anywhere on it. I thought Visa was supposed to have the code on the back. Does anyone know where I can find it? There is a three digit number on the back next to her signature, but I tried entering it on my iPod to by an app, and it doesn’t work. (Yes, my mom lets me use that card as much as I want.)

child was living with their father, dad is on disability there for all of his kids (3 kids total) get 0 each a month also.

custody is changing and mom is now having custody of 2 of the children (the other is from his current wife)

do the 2 children that have been receiving a check get cut off of the social security because they move out of dads home or does the check now go to mom to care for the children as dad doesn’t work and cant pay child support?

I dealt with a similar situation with my brother when my mom was unable to care for him no longer. he received a check because of her disability and I had to go to the office to show that I was now his guardian but it was a temporary guardian that we had to sign a paper every year. his check came to our house to be used on his needs. but don’t know if its a different situation since that was temporary custody rather than full custody

My mom went to the grocery store to pick up a few things and when I was home alone a burglar broke through my window and walked in so I picked up the golf club by the window and hit him has hard as I could in the balls and in the face. He limped to his truck after and left. If I callthe police will I get charged with assault?

ok so this is kinda long…. over thhe past several months i have been sneaking out ALOT almost 3-4 times a week.i do it to see my girlfriend, we dont get to see each other much and i love her and like spending time with her…. so my mom has caught me three times now, last time was 1 week ago, and i have to see my gf tonight, we got in a big fight and i dont wanna lose her… but i probably will if i dont see her tonight. i have a 3 story window and a 2 story drop down ladder, im willing to make the jump but my mom sets the alarm now, i was pretty desperate so i found the lil sensor, and snapped it odff, and it fell all three stories down into grass, and i couldnt find it. so now when my mom trys to set the alarm, it wont set most likely, idk what will happen, she will suspect me, and now that i have this thing disabled, im sneaking out one way or another. my question is, what will happen when my mom trys to set the alarm? we have "network multifamily" system, and what do you tihnk i should do? any advice? im stuck here…
