Someone got into my car the other day at work. I am wondering who it is? Is it a patient, stalker, or someone just needing money. We have no security cameras and I am concerned for my safety. I work for a hospital, but not at the main campus, the outpatient part. By law do you have to have security cameras up? We have approximately 30-40 people working in the building if that matters?

I live in an apartment with my girlfriend. I work at a bar late on the weekends, often leaving her home alone until I am done with my shift early in the morning. We have a deadbolt locked door into our apartment but the door is older and our neighborhood is somewhat questionable. What would be the best security system for keeping her safe while I’m at work. It has to be something that will not sound when I get home from work, waking the neighbors. Hoping to not spend a ton of money or having to wire something. Any advice would help…

Sorry this is a little unorganized

My sister and her boyfriend want to get temporary custody of me from my mom who lives in Oregon. My dad passed away last year so its only my mom we have to fight my mom. I’m not sure where I’m a resident of right now because after my dad died i was forced to live with my mom in Nevada i lived there for a year and right now im in California for summer break to visit family(my mom moved to Oregon while i was in California) however i have been staying at my sisters house since June 10, 2011 so she thinks that might make me a legal resident of California? I don’t really get mail here other than one piece of mail i got because i ordered something online. Could that one piece of mail make me a resident? I don’t know how that works. Anyway my mom is coming to California in about two weeks to get me and take me to California. My sister and her bf are hoping to get temporary custody by then then later go for full custody.
I have tried reasoning with my mom, Ive told her why i don’t wanna be with her.
She has never really been in my life very much and the only reason I live with her now is because my died and she is my only other "legal Guardian" otherwise i would still be with him.
I honestly believe my mom wants me to live with her so she can get my social security checks, neither her or her husband have jobs..they live off my checks and they have been for the last year
My mom is never home and that money i get from my dads passing is supposed to go to help with necessities for me, not for them to spend on cigarettes and new gun.
anyway i need to know what i can do to get this started ASAP any forms, info, websites, lawyers you know about in both California and Oreon would be greatly appreciated!
oh BTW what are the living condition standards in Oregon? If i was with my mom i would not have my own room and i would be sleeping on the couch which is a MAJOR upgrade from how we were living in Nevada.

Alarm salesmen go door to door telling people that if you get an alarm security system monitored, such as ADT, Brinks, ..etc. You can save money on your home owners insurance.

Is there ANY truth or basis for this? If so, how much?

A credit card company turned over a delinquent account (about ,000) to a legal firm who sent a letter to me, his son, stating that they will be seeking a judgment.

My father has been in a adult care facility for about six years – he is 92 with advanced Alzheimer’s. His wife died last year and she was the only one using the credit card since he was admitted. The credit card was in my father’s name and my step-mom had power of attorney. I have recently been appointed as his guardian and conservator.

Currently, my father still gets Social Security and a pension. The cost of the care facility (,500/mo) and his medications (0-500/mo) utilizes all of this money. He has about ,000 in savings which is slowly decreasing to make up the difference. He has no other assets.

What can happen under these circumstances? Can a judgment be used to garnish his pension and/or Social Security? Can the courts ruling force payment from his savings? Is there any legal ramifications towards me as a conservator if I do not pay?

We are thinking about bundling our services with SuddenLink because we can save a TON of money. We don’t know anyone who has their home security and we were just wondering if it was decent and worth getting?

We go away on weekends and sometimes vacation. I’m wondering if it’s a good use of money to get a security system like ADT? We have little kids & do think about sex offenders too. Some body told me that first time home buyers can break the lease in state of Maryland (MD) and don’t have to pay any penalty. I want to know whether the same law is applicable in state of Virginia (VA).
We have more than a year left in my current lease and we are buying a house. My landlord has a clause that if we break the lease, we have to give 3 months notice and 2 months rent.

I am asking that do i have to pay this money or is there a way around it?
