I just sign a new contact with ADT on the wireless home system.Its come with two motion sensor and a remote control.They will charge me .00 extra each if I want to add a window sensor.My question is if I can buy a sensor eleswhere and program it in to the system.I have 27 windows in my house and 27×99=???????????

Not sure it exists, but it would be ideal. I’ve seen the kind with a motion sensor you can disarm with a remote before entering but I have a big dumb cat that I know would set it off.

I would like to use my pc camera for a security camera of sorts while I’m on vacation. Maybe tak a picture every so often. (Motion sensor would be nice but I don’t want to buy one.) Is there a way to set it to take a picture every hour or so?

Hi everyone….I HAD dusk/dawn flood lights but decided to swap one of them out for motion sensor type. I bought the one for 180* radius (Brinks) and am about out of my MIND! It either triggers over every little thing or not at all, even if I haven’t changed the sensitivity on it. I have a unique situation that I’m trying to have it bypass the backyard (with the dogs inside that with their constant running around would make the darn thing look like a giant blinking christmas light all night) I need it to monitor the driveway. It seems like it’s not reaching out far enough. Should I get a higher radius or different brand? Or do all of these things work about the same regardless of radius or brand? Thanks.

I have a new house that has a home security system installed, with motion detectors, an alarm, a keypad, etc. How can I activate it and use it without having to pay a security service to moniter it?
This is a new house, they haven’t given me a code for the keypad, and pushing buttons doesn’t seem to do anything. The keypad does tell me if any doors or windows are open or if the motion sensor detects anything…I just want to be able to set it to go off if there is an intruder.

my husband wants to put in a home securuty system. He wants to do a motion sensor alarm in our daughters room. He does not want to use window contacts. He says that it will be fine even when she is sleeping in there becasuse he is going to aim it at the window area and her bed will be behind the sensor and out of it’s "view". Even if she gets up to use the bathtroom she would not be going in its view. I am worried that her just being in the room will trip it off. Any thoughts????

I wanted to know on the ADT motion sensor, they display yellow, blue, and red light. What do they mean? ADT didn’t give me a user manual.
