I am concerned about my neighbors 3 boys causing damage to my house. I have caught one of the little monsters throwing rocks at birds at my bird feeder and today found a rock on my porch roof that I can only guess was thrown at a bird on my roof.Who knows what goes on when I am not at home. I would like to install maybe 2 security cameras outside. What do I need for this?

I live in an apartment with my girlfriend. I work at a bar late on the weekends, often leaving her home alone until I am done with my shift early in the morning. We have a deadbolt locked door into our apartment but the door is older and our neighborhood is somewhat questionable. What would be the best security system for keeping her safe while I’m at work. It has to be something that will not sound when I get home from work, waking the neighbors. Hoping to not spend a ton of money or having to wire something. Any advice would help…

Let’s say I had a pet hawk and I was letting it fly around my back yard tied to a string. It gets loose and blinds the eye of one of my neighbors.

Would my homeowners insurance and my umbrella coverage protect me if I’m sued?

So my kitchen got on fire because I was cooking oatmeal on the stove, but my room is okay. It is upstairs on the other side of the house. So can I just wait for my mom to get home in about 4 hours? Or just spray water around myself for protection. PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE MY MOM GETS HOME! Maybe it will just go away on its own. And don’t worry, there is no fire alarm to wake the neighbors or make that stupid noise.

There have been a lot of suspicous activity going on in my neighborhood lately. Two of my neighbors have had their homes burglarized and one has had his car stolen.

So, what can I do to prevent anything like this happening?

got into arguement with live in girlfriend who became aggressive.
neighbors called the police that of course arrived with me on top restraining her.
i got arrested and had a stay away order issued
so now im in a motel for a few weeks with no contact with my family other than voice mails she leaves me. niether one of us want this order how can we get rid of it?

Why is it chirping ? I cannot reach it to replace the batterys and my dad will not be home to change the batteries until six its 1:23 and its getting really anoying. I think its the batteries but man is it anoying and i closed the door and its still chirping. Will it run out of battery in a few hours or will it keep chirping until six ?
There is no way for me to reach it and none of my neighbors can reach it. Do i just have to put up with it chirping for a few hours ? the ceiling is 8ft and our ladder is sadly lacking in height and our neighbor with the big ladder will not be home until seven tonight.

Every once in a while, the car will "beep" like if someone bangs on the window. Then, almost every night, the full alarm, which needs to have the door handle tried, is going off. We have a lot of stray animals. I think the first is probably them jumping on the car, but the second one is troubling me because it is only in the middle of the night and if I hear it, then technically my neighbors can, too. Suggestions?

I Lived in Antioch, Ca. And this week two of my neighbors lost their cars, so I prefer buy an alarm than a car.

or some other kind of alert (I was given the suggestion to install a security system that also monitors for fire). Now a friend tells me these fail if the power goes out. The reason I ask is that I recently had a house fire that left my home unlivable and destroyed all my possessions, also took some of my pets. I had taken all the precautions one would think necessary, several working smoke alarms including a hard wired one, and co2 alarms on each floor. The fire broke out during the day when neighbors were at work or school. No one was around to hear the alarms. (the houses on my street are not that close together and it is winter where I live so all windows were shut. Now I am staying in a hotel but I will be going back to live on my own at some point. I am now terrified of another fire. This was totally accidental. They think the refrigerator started the fire or wiring in the wall, it is still under investigation.. the point being it can happen to any one at any time. Just to mention I am a nonsmoker and have always been almost ocd at checking everything several times before I leave the house and yet this still happened….. I am looking for suggestions of something I could put in place relatively inexpensively. I will get some insurance money for my belongings and I want to put it toward making sure this never happens again. Bless you for any suggestions and have a great New Year.
