A motion sensor light switch that activates when you walk into the room. The lights stay on for a pre-set determined period of time. If I used this type of switch for bathrooms and such what kind of savings would I expect to see versus just leaving the lights on?

…a dangerous and more difficult life, but rewarding life, exploring the universe seeing and learning amazing new things?
Faster then light travel is possible, the space ship you are on is like a miniature city with artificial gravity, life support, shields and can produce an indefinite amount of food and water.
You would get to return to Earth once in a while, but only for a brief period of time before you were called back for duty. It would an expedition type thing so you wouldn’t be alone.
I think I would choose exploring the universe, sounds like fun.
What would you choose?

I have just recently installed a Honeywell thermostat. Replaced the old one because the fan ran all of the time and the house would never get warm. So now that I have the new thermostat, the house is getting warm but the fan only goes off for a very short period of time. I am worried that I will have yet another 0 electric bill. Any ideas what the problem may be?

Everytime my mother cooks using the stove, the carbon monoxide detector goes off. It seems like every sunday when she cooks for a long period of time faithfully the detector goes off like an hour after the stove has been shut off. I take it down remove the battery and open the windows. about 20 minutes later i put it back up….no alarm goes off. the battery is new so that shouldnt be an issue. The only thing i am fearing is a possible gas leak. What should i do?

My Norton Internert Security subscription will end up in 48 days, I have decided to dedicate some days to consider other anti-virus programs. Since I only have used this software from Norton, I lack the experience to compare it with the other programs in the market. And I don’t know if I’m using a good program or are there better programs then the one I have(Norton).I have had it for two years, and I should recognize that it has intercepted 5 or 6 troyans in this period of time. However it slows down my computer when it’s scanning in the background.
I wouldn’t care if it slows down my computer if it does the job to protect my system, although annoying, however if there are programs that do a good work on protecing my computer and at the same time they do not slow it down, that’s what I would like to find out. I’ll appreciate your input and suggestions good or bad, I’m sure if somebody has used Norton and other programs would be in a perfect position to shared those experiences, I’ll analyse them carefully to determine if I’m Okay with Norton or if I would be better with other more reliable programs. I have searched online, but I have not concluded yet which is the appropiate anti-virus program for my computer, because some reviews rate Norton as a good program, some other reviews give Norton a very low rating. I’m certain that your valuable opinions would clearify my options when the day comes. Some important features in these programs would be: excellent protecion, the less possible compromise on the resources on the computer…I have windows vista home premium. Thank you for sharing your opinions.

I am considering to purchase a security system for my home, but I have a question regarding the use while I am in my home. If it is late a night and you want a late night snack, do you have to disarm it when you do get up or are the sensors a directed solely on the entrance of the house?
I would love to get a dog, but there are times where I am away from the house for a long period of time.

Hello.
I have had my toddlers home for just over a month after an extended period of time from home. I can understand that my children need the security of knowing daddy is here, and will be here when they wake up! I am currently sole guardian to my two children, and doing it as a cripple. No matter when I turn around, they are literally behind me, up my butt! So far I have tripped over them, fallen over them … I have to look before each step and each turn. My daughter, who is in a big girl bed, frequently sneaks in and pushes me out of my bed … needing the security of being close and clingy! I love my kids,, and want them to thrive … but I am not able to waltz around them due to semi-mangled legs. In addition to the clinginess, I am also experiencing defiance, backtalk, and resistance (I know this is common, but it is way to frequent)!
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!
