What companies should i look into?

I had a home warranty program from Broward in Florida. Their service repair people actually work for Broward. But my exerience is they don’t know what they are doing overall. When the compressor went out on my A/C, they replaced it but I have talked to other people who said that their companies replaced the A/C when a compressor went out.

I just had a company come out and look at my A/C to do routine maintenance. The company does not do home warranty work so they are neutral on the subject. The technician told me that the A/C should have been replaced.

The technician said that he goes to a lot of homes and hears a lot of comments but that he has never heard any bad comments about Home Buyers Protection by First American.

If you have any personal experience with either American Home Shield or Home Buyers Protection, I hope you will share the details.

I have a new home that I would like to purchase a security system for; however, I was looking for some personal experience feedback from folks. What is the most reasonable place? What warning signs are there to look for? Is wireless better or worse? In the base package for a company, does it include sensors for all windows and doors or do they ‘trick’ you and it’s extra?
