I got this thing popping up called "Vista Home Security" and a search on bing confirmed my suspicions that it is indeed a scam virus. I exited out of it without confirming anything, but notices still pop up. I looked on bing for how to remove it, and a couple of websites recommend that I download a program to do it for me. I’m worried that these programs might also be malicious.

Please help me find a program that you know is safe! Thank you so much!

I think my roommate is stealing from me. I just want to download a program that will monitor secretly while I am away using my laptop’s webcam. I already have a motion activated camera to see who is snooping around in my backyard when I am at work.

I am thinking however, of getting surveillance cameras for my house. I have burglar bars and doors, but those only work if they are locked. If someone follows me home and sticks a gun in my face as I am unlocking the gate to my driveway, obviously, I am going to comply. There are no secrets in this ghetto, so I assume the local gang members know I have guns. So I fear them ambushing me one night and getting access to my house. I am five foot four and 118 pounds and not very physically imposing. Also the gun I carry is only a .25 auto, and I carry it in such a way as to avoid detection in a stop and frisk, so a quick draw is out of the question. So if someone draws a 9 (the current favorite weapon of 18th Street Gang) on me, I will have to comply.

I think it might be useful, if some gang members are in my house to tell them :"Oh, by the way, there are six cameras that have been taking your pictures. Kill me, and you will spend the next 30 years on Death Row."

But all that would depend on them NOT being able to locate the video recorder. Is there some internet service that you can pay to upload video and store it, so burglars and criminals cannot get ahold of it?

My garage door sensors are "Moore-O-Matic (which they don’t make anymore) my garage door will go up fine, but it will not go down, it begins to, but then stops as if something is in the way. Nothing is in the way and there are no lights on either of the sensors, which leads me to believe they aren’t working. But I’m wondering how I can determine if it’s a wiring problem or if it’s the actual sensors that are bad.

Can anyone give me some tips for troubleshooting my issue??

Also, can they be replaced with a different brand, would I need to do anything special to do this?
