We bought our first house and the previous owner had ADT installed in it, we are using our phone through our internet, ADT said it will work with the internet phone, but how if our phone isnt actually plugged into a phone jack. The company that has the adt account is real close friends with the previous owners and they had came to my house and told me I can just take over payments of their contract, however Im starting to wonder am I being ripped off..can ADT really work through the internet phone line, Im going to call them monday and ask. The guy from ADT said when they put it my name in May when the previous owners contract is up Im going to have to buy some hadn held radio for 0.00 since I dont have have an actual landline phone. Am I being ripped off does all this sound right? Are we really being monitored?

I charged my battery on my `97 540i, the battery is fully charged, when I put the neg. post back on, the alarm went off and would not shut off, once I finally turned it off, the "Radio & Electronic Eng. Lock alarm apparently shut down my whole system, would anyone know how I can reset the alarm? I own the vehicle and have two original keys for it. Thanks for any help

I need an alarm clock for my 5th generation nano that will let get louder and louder playing my itunes or the radio, with adjustable LED display, that won’t break in a month. Fairly good sound quality is important, and it can’t be ginormous. Thanks for any suggestions that people have tried and either like or hate.

First of all so this makes sense you need to know this, I live in an apartment complex! Me and 2 of my friends were walking back home and we were making fun and laughing at this boy because he’s bisexual and tried to rape a boy and stuff like that. Well the boy used to pretend he pulled the fire alarm but he really didn’t, so my friend imitated him or whatever and just put a tiny touch on the fire alarm PULL HERE panel thing and like 4 seconds later the alarm goes off. We all ran so fast like crazy, we hid in the stairwell, than we came back out and pretended that we didn’t know what was happening and that we just got there. We just waited out there just standing in the balcony or whatever and then like 10 minutes later we hear a firetruck and an ambulance on their way here. We keep calm and than we see like 5 firemen on the bottom floor, so we call the complex security and tell them that it was this boy that might have pulled the fire alarm, so they come to my friend’s apartment and ask him questions and they get all the information they need to find the kid who "did it" and to punish him for what he "did." So than we go inside my friend’s apartment and have a meeting and we all agree to not tell anyone that knows us about that. So we all just sit on my friend’s porch and than we see the FBI on the first and third floors, we were on the third floor and we knew they were FBI because they had their jackets radio comminication thingy and their hat and their guns or whatever. We got scared that they might find out it was us that did the whole thing and we will get in trouble so we just kept calm. Then me and my other friend go on our ways back home to rest. We are all worried about that they might find out it was my friend that did it and we will all get in trouble for lieing to all the emergency services people. What might happen to the boy that "did it" if they do believe that he did it? He is only 13 and we are all 13, what if they find out it was us that did it, will we like get in a lot of trouble for doing that or what? What can we do? I am really scared, I have never done anything this bad or ever lied to emergency services. Me and my other friend are good kids except for my third friend. I am not nameing no one because you might know us or report us. Please tell me what to do.

have a 2000 HyundaI Elantra that I bought used, it has an aftermarket anti theft system with the red dot on the dash… Every once in a while for unknown reasons the alarm would set off and I would have to flick a switch attached to wires in the fuse box, as i turned the ignition. This would happen not very often, but when it did it would repeat quite a few times usually. Anyway, 2 days ago I trued to start the car and realized anti theft was activitated I atttempted to turn the switch and the switch broke came off of the 2 wires it was attached to. I was able to start the car by rubbing the two wires together a certain way… I went home and found a fuse in the box under the hood for the burglar alarm which seemed to fix the problem until i realized now the radio did not work, nor did the interior lights… Any suggestions on how to disable the anti theft system?

My nice Samsung HT-X20 home theatre show "protection" and shut itself off.I contacted Samsung and they say it needs service.I never before heard of a radio going for service.What do they actually do at the service?What are they replacing?
