I live in an apartment with my girlfriend. I work at a bar late on the weekends, often leaving her home alone until I am done with my shift early in the morning. We have a deadbolt locked door into our apartment but the door is older and our neighborhood is somewhat questionable. What would be the best security system for keeping her safe while I’m at work. It has to be something that will not sound when I get home from work, waking the neighbors. Hoping to not spend a ton of money or having to wire something. Any advice would help…

My boyfriend and I are debating about getting a security system. He’s worried about cost. Should we let cost deter us from getting one? If it were free would most people want one? I realize that cost is somewhat of a factor, but we’d DIY and not have it hooked up to a monthly monitoring system. So there’d be no monthly fee just the initial cost of buying the stuff.

i have a clifford matrix 12 security system (4 button remote). i was able to program my replacement remote to lock/unlock doors but it does not arm the system…. does anyone know how to arm system??? any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

95 Cherokee Grand – The security system arlarms randomly. If I park and get out, the arlarm system engages and the lights flash and don’t quit. It runs the battery down.
I need to dis-connect the security system permantly.
Does anyone know how to do this?

A local museum wants to exhibit a very rare precious stone. The stone is to be placed in a glass case, in the exact geometric center of a cubic room, which measures 15 feet on each side. We go away on weekends and sometimes vacation. I’m wondering if it’s a good use of money to get a security system like ADT? We have little kids & do think about sex offenders too. Anyway, no one else in our neighborhood has one & I’ve never heard of a break in here (upstate ny). What do you think? Thanks a bunch!

hah not to sneak out, im 34. Just i had the honeywell security system put in and sensors on my windows and i wasnt paying attention and i want to do any ideas how to take it off my windows or take the batteries out without setting them off. its like a little white box next to my window then two rectangle pieces next to each other, one on the window one on the wall…….any ideas?

do they offer monitoring? is there anybody who will monitor their stuff? I see that they sell good security system parts, that’s why i’m asking. i heard somewhere that ADT charges 9 for a monitored smoke alarm, so screw that, I want to build my own security/fire system and have it MONITORED

I was wondering if there’s a company that, for a monthly fee, will let me set a phone dialer(these can be added to honeywell stuff) to call them and then they call 911 and report it
