I have a 2000 doege neon ES 4 door, its in pretty good shape except on my dashboard it reads "DOOR" as in the door is open. I have checked all my doors numerous times and can’t find anything wrong. They no longer auto lock at 18 MPH like before either. Is is sensor? How do I fix it? How long beofre my bettery dies? Because the door alert is always on so are my dome lights? What is the best plan of attack here? Thanks so much
Also, if one of the door sensors is broken how do I find out which one it is… And in the owners manual and the fuse panel it doesnt really show clearly what fuse it is… Thanks again

i connected my garage opener to the door itself but every time i try to close it always comes back up. The sensors are working fine and there is no cause for it to that i but i do notice that the top of my garage door seems to crack and is breaking the top section of the door every time i try to open or close it with the opener.

I have an older Craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener, probably manufactured around 1995. It stopped operating due to one of the sensors no longer working. I replaced both sensors with Genie brand (only available at local hardware store), but the door is still inoperable. I can open and close at wall unit, but when using the remote it blinks 10 times.
My concern is that maybe the sensors will work, but I may have to wire differently at the motor’s three connection points.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I just purchase a Craftsman model online?

My house has an alarm on the windows but I read somewhere that If you put thick tape on it the sensors will mess up & not notice when the window gets opened. Problem is that I can’t find the sensor on the window. Where would it be?
Thanks.

What are the whit sensors attached to clothing called? There attached to the clothes in stores like Macys, Sears, and other retail outlets. It’s definitly made to prevent theft. The merchent takes it off when you leave the store after buying it.

I am considering using either laser or ultrasonic distance sensors to measure the distance between a robot and a surface. For this application, I will need to use 4 of these sensors (located on the same plane and pointed in the same direction) to each measure distance. They will most likely be a foot or two apart from one another and will be measuring distance from a few feet away from the surface. I am concerned that they will interfere with each other. Does anyone know if this is a significant concern? If so, are there solutions (using sensors that operate at different frequencies?)? Thanks.

My garage door sensors are "Moore-O-Matic (which they don’t make anymore) my garage door will go up fine, but it will not go down, it begins to, but then stops as if something is in the way. Nothing is in the way and there are no lights on either of the sensors, which leads me to believe they aren’t working. But I’m wondering how I can determine if it’s a wiring problem or if it’s the actual sensors that are bad.
Can anyone give me some tips for troubleshooting my issue??
Also, can they be replaced with a different brand, would I need to do anything special to do this?
Thanks in advance!

We still have good sensors from the old system. Will they work with it?

The car is a 1999 Chevy Malibu and in the ad it says that the brakes are bleeding and it needs new sensors. I was wondering how much it would cost to fix those?
Wow, ok so what other sensors are there instead of the ABS, because it could be some other sensor and I’m gonna call the seller and ask.

Don’t want to pay a monthly monitoring fee, just an upfront 0 or so for the self-installed system (or a couple hundred dollars for installation if its reccomended). I’d like a remote (or an external keypad) and an external alarm siren so that burglars cant just break the keypad once inside and silence the alarm. Would need about 10-15 window/door sensors, and maybe 2 motion sensor for the garage/shed. And again, would like wireless for ease of installation, with enough range for a 2000 sq ft house. Many thanks in advance!
