I had a pursuit alarm/remote start system put on my 2006 Jeep Commander two days ago. The mechanic told me about a "pit stop" feature that the remote start had, and demonstrated it. Basically, if you stop at a gas station and want to leave your car running while you run in, you hit the remote start button twice and remove your keys. The car stays running. Then upon returning, you just put the keys back in the ignition, turn it to "on", and drive away. It sounded pretty convenient so I tried it. Twenty minutes later as I was driving on the expressway, the remote chirped, the engine died, and the steering wheel locked, WHILE I WAS DRIVING! Also, the information panel said "Programming Active" and a red light was flashing next to it. What happened? Obviously, the remote start timer didn’t disengage when I replaced the keys in the ignition, but why did that happen? Should I continue to use this "pit stop" feature anymore?

How do you switch off the alarm on a watch?




I got a stainless steel watch with no instructions. It beeps every hour, and the alarm goes off at a certain time every day. How do I turn off the beep and the alarm? There are only four buttons on my watch: light (top left), start (top right), mode (bottom left), and reset (bottom right). I don’t want to destroy the watch. Thanks!
There is a speaker symbol shown on the top of the screen. I tried pressing the reset and the start button but the symbol won’t go away.

I was using a piece of paper, and release the mass and at the same time press the start button. And stop the button when the mass reaches the end of the floor. Automatically the computer will recognize the sensor.

My question is if the experiment were repeated using a piece of paper instead of heavy mass, will the result be any different? why?
