How to update virus definitions and other content with Symantec Norton internet security 2011 every single hour through the LiveUpdate ? how to configure that ?
PS: My internet connection is really slow, that’s why I want to use the update periodically every hour to make sure the download content wont get large so my connection can bear the amount of the update (without disconnecting) !! I used to do that all the time before when I had Kaspersky ))

does anyone know what is the difference between Symantec Norton Internet Security 2011 NIS 1yr 1PC 2010 and the norton 2008 version? i used the 2008 version to update my computer, now they are coming up with the what is the Symantec Norton Internet Security 2011 NIS 1yr 1PC 2010 and i dont know the difference. can i still use it on my gateway to surf internet and do usual stuff on there.

Earlier I ask this question. "I ran an security test on my computer and was told this. Your computer may now be functioning as an Internet Server with neither your knowledge nor your permission. Everyone wrote back telling me to check viruses and spyware and so on. Still turned up with nothing. I’m thinking what is happening is ICMP Pinging my computer is accepting incoming pings. is there a way for be to block or stealth. Windows Xp "updates installed" behind a NAT router. Installed firewall and AV. Test was run and GRC website. & symantec’s website. both came up with the same results. Thank You everyone who’s tried to help out so far. I really thank you for your time.

Which one is better? Windows Defender or Symantec Endpoint Protection?

Windows Defender comes with Vista so I can use that one or I can use Symantec Endpoint Protection provided to me for free by my college. Can I use them both? If not which one should I use?

Which antivirus software is better, Norton Protection Center or Live One Care?

I got Rogers yahoo high speed internet which came with symantec’s norton protection center which protects your computer in all domains cost if you buy at a store 450$ . I saw recently when i downloaded all the windows live softwares to keep my computer live that they offer a free Live One Care.

I was wondering which one is better and why?

Symantec Endpoint Protection Corporate on my home pc possible?

Checking if I install a companies corporate Symantec Endpoint Protection onto my home PC as Unmanaged does it report back to the company? Can the company easily see "That’s not our PC" and disable it from working remotely?

Need antivirus /security help pls Was thinking between the two:Norton Internet Security 2010 or Symantec Norton 360 3.0 but didnt hear such great reviews…

My mom just got her toshiba netbook and my dad has his new laptop, we have a house computer (but are getting a new one in the next month or so ) So my mom wants to get some sort of antivirus /security for all three. She doesn’t know which one to pick between the two. any suggestions would be helpful. If it helps, my dad will be deploying to afghanistan and taking his laptop. My mom will be using her netbook just while traveling and for personal use while home. The desktop will be used for me and my sister on our settings to go to myspace, facebook, disney and some game sites . For my mom it will mainly used for research and business.She also works from home so, if this helps.

Is it safe, and to my benefit, to have more than one anti-virus/security protection plans?

I recently subscribed to the "Norton/Symantec" anti-virus/security protection plan, but I also use 2 other "spyware" applications. I was told that more than one plan is not good and could confuse my "learning program". Is that true? And should I get rid of the other spyware programs – they were FREE!
