I checked the batteries in the thermostat and they’re still good. My furnace’s pilot light is on, it’s turned on and the fuse is not blown. The breaker is not tripped. Incidentally, yesterday Comcast installed digital phone and they were doing something with my ADT alarm box, which is close to the furnace, though I don’t know if it’s on the same breaker. I have to wonder if something they did caused the issue. Any ideas on what else I can do/check?
The fan doesn’t come on, but I don’t know how to check the transformer. Do you mean the transformer on the thermostat? Would replacing the thermostat likely fix the issue? The thermostat is around 26 years old.
Thanks for the attempts to answer, but it turned out the safety switch on the furnace had broken off this weekend. I had to reassemble the switch and duct tape it in so that it wouldn’t fall out again.

I have honeywell vt117 TRV fitted with number settings 1 to 6 with an economy button set at number 3. If my thermostat downstairs is set to 21C for example; what temperature will the numbers on the TRV represent?

I am pushing "mode/exit" when I am finished programming. Am I accidentally cancelling what I have programmed? Aside from this, the thermostat works very well. Thanks in advance.

I need a diagram showing the switchover form a simple comfort 2201 thermostat to a honeywell RTH6350D thermostat. Some of the letters don’t match up with what the booklet says they might be. Anyone know of a site or any help that I can see that will help me switch these thermostats out?

Need Help with 2006 Chevy Impala 6 cyl 3.5liter?

I have a Chevy Impala that the Engine Hot A/C Compressor off Alert started coming on and staying on. This is even when it has not been started overnight and I know the engine isn’t hot. Does anyone know possibly what it could be that is causing it to do this? According to the book it says that when this Alert comes on it means the antifreeze is hot but not the engine and it can still be run as normal. Would it be the thermostat or some sensor that would be causing the car to do this?

I have a two stage high efficiency Carrier furnace installed in 2000 that we’ve been having trouble with every winter. The furnace will intermittently stop running and won’t come on unless the front cover to the furnace is pushed or the thermostat is clicked off and then on (the latter doesn’t always work though and we have to go push the door anyway). We change the air filters every month, and even had the thermostat (programmable) changed twice, the last time by a service tech. Nothing seems to work. The manufacturer said that since the furnace kicks on when the door is pushed or the thermostat is turned off and then on, its a thermostat problem. The manufacturer of the thermostat (Honeywell) says that the thermostat is working properly and that its the furnace that is the issue. Anyone got any ideas to fix this furnace since these two companies aren’t being any help? Thanks in advance!

What to do with the T wire from my old thermostat?

We want to replace our old trane thermostat, but it has a T wire for resister reset. All other thermostats do not have a T wire connection. My question is: What can the T wire be connect to if other thermostat do not have a T wire connection or does it need to be connected at all? The new thermostat is a Honeywell 7 day programmable (touchscreen) Model RTH7600.
Thank you!

I can’t get my thermostat to heat to the proper temp. I set it to 72, it heat to 60. A couple of week ago my husband ran into it. I have a feeling this may have affected it. The thermostat is a old honeywell with mercury. If it’s out of balance, how could I tell and correct it?

I got this thermostat set up on Thursday of this week and programed the M-F weekday settings. It all seemed to work fine but we woke up on the weekend to 70 degree settings. I can’t find a way to access the 2 day weekend setting. How do you program the weekend?
