no, sorry.
What???
Apply oil or grease to the lube points. There are generally 3 of them that require regular maintenance. It would be a good investment to get your furnace maintained once a year. You’ll save that much in operation savings from greater efficiency and it will extend the life of the unit as well.
Probably dust. Get out the vacuum cleaner.
It’s prolly out-of-balance due to accumulated filth and grime coating the fan blades. So, maybe clean them. Might want to do a little lubrication of the shaft, too.
use wd40 and stop the noise.
Turn it off before it burns up! Get a furnace man over ASAP if you don’t have an alternate source of heat.
if the motor is humming you will definatley need a new fan motor.hvac mech for 25yrs.
If your fan has no pullies or belts, it is probably a direct drive fan motor. It sounds like you fan motor needs to be replaced. Shut the power off to your furnace and check for any debri in the blower fan wheel…like kids toys, or large pieces of wood that could somehow jam between the fan wheel and the housing. Also check to make sure your filters arent jam plugged with dirt, and make sure your return air vents are not blocked with a rug or, a piece of furniture shoved tight against it. If you had any of these kind of restrictions in the air return, clear them, wait about 20 minutes for the motor to cool down and then start up the furnace blower to see how she goes. If you have a Jaws Amp meter you can check the amperage draw on the motor.
Could be a failed capacitor, but it’s most likely a bad motor. If it sticks, the bearings have probably failed, oiling it may get it going for a while, but it’s only a matter of time before it quits. It’s doomed. Call a tech.
The sticking is probably worn out motor brushes. Have a qualified HVAC tech inspect your heating system.
